Refrigeration engineers combine documentation with what they recognise on site. An assistant needs to connect information to the installation.
My contribution
In the Virtual Service Mechanic research with Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, I develop the AI assistant with the wider team. It connects a technician’s question to installation data, manuals and maintenance records. Capturing experienced technicians’ knowledge remains research in progress.
Evidence and limits
An April 2026 university interview describes the IJskoud collaboration. Reported practitioner experience is not a controlled performance measurement.
